TOP 5 MOST POPULAR CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS IN MOLODECHNO

English section

My beloved City of the Sun is rightfully considered the cultural highlight of the Minsk region. Therefore, I have no doubt that everyone will find an interesting and fulfilling way to spend their time here! Every resident and visitor to our city can always choose how to enjoy their free time. I present to you the top 5 most popular cultural attractions in Molodechno.

To make our virtual journey even more engaging, I suggest accompanying it with an atmospheric soundtrack: https://yandex.ru/video/preview/12026683664934089263

ITS UNIQUENESS LIES IN ITS MULTIFUNCTIONALITY

The Molodechno Sports and Entertainment Center, known as the Ice Palace, opened its doors in October 2011. Today, it is a significant sports facility not only for Molodechno and surrounding towns, but for all of Belarus. The sports hall and ice arena host competitions at various levels, large-scale entertainment events, concerts, and spectacular ice shows. After Minsk Arena, it is the largest sports complex in the Minsk region.

The uniqueness of the Molodechno Sports and Entertainment Complex lies in its multifunctionality. The complex consists of three parts: an ice arena with a capacity of 2,200 spectators; a multi-purpose sports hall for volleyball, basketball, mini-football, and handball with seating for 270 spectators; and a swimming pool with elements of a water park.

LIFE IN THE THEATER IS JUST ONE SEASON, BUT A SEASON IS A WHOLE LIFE

The performances of the Minsk Regional Drama Theater are particularly popular among residents and visitors to our city. As the actors say, «Life in the theater is just one season, but a season is a whole life.»

The Minsk Regional Drama Theater was founded in Molodechno in 1991. In its early years, performances were exclusively in Belarusian. Currently, Russian-language productions predominate. The unforgettable acting, gripping plots, and intriguing endings will captivate every audience member!

A COZY TIME AT «RODINA»

The Molodechno Cinema «Rodina» is an excellent cinema center with two cozy screening rooms. The lobby is adorned with posters of films currently showing and those that will premiere soon. A mini-cafe is located in the lobby, offering popcorn, ice cream, and drinks.

THE WINTER GARDEN, WHICH COMBINES THE CLUB AND ENTERTAINMENT AREAS

Next, I suggest visiting our city’s most significant and unique institution the Palace of Culture. This versatile building, with its unique architecture, beautifully blends culture, art, beauty, and comfort. Visitors to the Palace can enjoy relaxing in the Winter Garden, which symbolically unites the club and entertainment areas. Behind it is a permanent exhibition gallery.

The golden era of the Palace of Culture’s creative work began in 2016, when Molodechno was awarded the honorary status of «Cultural Capital of Belarus.»

Its largest halls have hosted major television projects: the Golden Chanson Festival; Song of the Year of Belarus; Golden Collection of Belarusian Folk Songs; Maladzechna Zaprashae; Our Favorites; You Are My Melody; and the National Festival of Original Songs «Breath of Strings.» The open air painting sessions of the artists «MOLODECHNO ART» and the sculptors «Vernissage of Stones» received a great response.

THE NATIONAL FESTIVAL AS A SEPARATE SOURCE OF PRIDE

I also suggest attending the National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry, which takes place annually in Molodechno. It’s the only festival with «National» status. One of the highlights of its program remains the national pop song competition.

Incidentally, the 25th National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry «Malazechna-2026» will be held from June 9 to 13, 2026. The anniversary forum will traditionally take place in Molodechno, with the Summer Amphitheater and the Palace of Culture serving as the main venues. The music forum will feature over 60 events, which will take place at venues throughout the city.

Everyone is welcome! Molodechno always embraces its guests!

You’ll definitely have plenty of fun in the city of the sun!
