Summer has noisily retreated, giving way to a stern and yet so beautiful autumn. But there’s no reason to feel sad; this is a time to gather strength and inspiration before the long academic journey ahead. Where can one find this inspiration? In nature, of course, which is especially gorgeous right now. We asked students about their plans for the weekend and the beautiful things they hope to see around them. Conducting this interview are Daria Skvartsova, a fourth-year student from the international journalism department, Daria Shishko, a second-year student and their fellow groupmates. The result was a very sincere conversation about simple joys of life.
Coming inspiring weekend

Daria Skvartsova: Hey everyone! With classes just starting, we all need a little energy boost. Uliana, are you heading out anywhere for inspiration this weekend?
Uliana Savenok: I’m going to my hometown. Our park is so cozy, with beautiful trees. I’ll just take a walk and breathe in the fresh air — it’s beautiful there and will really help clear my mind.
Daria Shishko: Besides nature, what else energizes you? Friends, perhaps?
Uliana Savenok: Definitely! We’ll hang out, and their smiles and the time we share together contribute to that beauty. So, I expect a warm and cheerful weekend.
Daria Skvartsova: Anya, where do you plan to escape the hustle and bustle of the city?
Anya Gorbacheva: I’m going home to the village. We have a big house, and the view from the window is very pleasing right now—everything is still green and sunny. Perfect for a reset.
Daria Shishko: How do you usually relax there? What do you do?
Anya Gorbacheva: I walk my dog, read, watch movies. I just enjoy the silence and peace. For me, that’s the main beauty—not having to rush anywhere.
Daria Skvartsova: Your plans sound very active! Katya, where exactly are you planning to go?
Katya Strakovich: I want to go out of town, to a contemporary art exhibition, and just walk around Minsk with my camera. Autumn is the most beautiful time for photography!
Daria Shishko: Is there a specific exhibition you have in mind, or will it be wherever you end up?
Katya Strakovich: We’re still exploring options, but we definitely want to visit somewhere showcasing contemporary art. I believe beauty can be found in multiple places.
Daria Skvartsova: Absolutely! Alesya, do you think you need to go somewhere special to find beauty?
Alesya Volchuk: Absolutely not! Beauty is all around us, especially now. The leaves are turning yellow, and the air feels fresh. My friends and I will just go for a walk in the park, rustle the leaves, and chat. That’s where real beauty lies — in those simple moments.
Daria Shishko: So the main thing is the company and the mood?
Alesya Volchuk: Exactly! You can share a lovely leaf with a friend, laugh together — that’s true inspiration.
Daria Skvartsova: Aruna, to you, is beauty more about calm and relaxation?
Aruna Chajko: Yes, I need to rest and get in the mood for studying. I want to have some good sleep, enjoy breakfast, and roam around Minsk with friends. We’ll talk about important things and breathe in the fresh air — that’s beauty in itself.
Daria Skvartsova: It’s essential to establish a new school routine, indeed.
Aruna Chajko: Yes, I’m actually hoping to gather some motivation for studying this weekend.
Daria Shishko: Arina, I heard you’re going to the countryside to paint this weekend. Is that true?
Arina Nakhvat: Yes, I’m really looking forward to it! I’m going to the Minsk Sea with my easel and paints.
Daria Skvartsova: Cool! What do you like to paint the most? Landscapes?
Arina Nakhvat: Yes, I predominantly paint nature. I’m eager to paint the water, the sky, and the autumn trees… For me, combining a walk with creativity is the perfect way to unwind.
Daria Skvartsova: Your plans are a fantastic reminder that inspiration and strength for studying can be found nearby. All you need to do is step outside and look around. Have a great weekend!
Beautiful Memories

Daria Skvartsova: The summer break is over, leaving behind a trail of warm memories. It was a time for relaxation, travel, and, most importantly, an opportunity to see the beauty in the world around us. For some, it’s the grandeur of nature; for others, it’s the architecture of their hometown or the people closest to them. We asked our interviewees where they found their beauty this summer.
Daria Shishko: Summer flew by, but I’m sure everyone has vivid impressions. Angelina, you had a very active vacation at the Zheleznodorozhnik sanatorium. What was the most beautiful thing there?
Angelina Dontsova: It’s hard to pick just one thing! The live music at the Retro café was fantastic, and the discos were so much fun. However, perhaps the most beautiful moments were the evening walks in the forest — breathing in the fresh air and listening to the birds sing, even with the mosquitoes buzzing around! The tour of Polotsk in the rain was also special; there’s a unique beauty in historical places.
Daria Skvartsova: Walking through an ancient city in the rain is so romantic and unusual! What impressed you the most in Polotsk? Was there a specific view or location that stood out to you?
Angelina Dontsova: Yes, St. Sophia Cathedral left a particularly strong impression. It looks so majestic on the high bank of the Western Dvina River, and in the rainy haze, it seemed almost mystical. It was very beautiful.
Daria Skvartsova: Absolutely, there’s a distinct charm in that kind of atmosphere! Speaking of grandeur, some people find beauty in iconic and symbolic places within the capital, such as Victory Square. Pavel, what do you believe makes it so special and beautiful?
Pavel Keruzel: The deep symbolism of this place is truly remarkable. The granite obelisk, the Eternal Flame that has been burning since 1961, and the Memorial Hall adorned with the names of heroes all evoke powerful emotions. It’s a blend of strength, memory, and respect. This site isn’t merely a monument; it’s an integral part of the city where people walk, celebrate, and remember. The harmony of granite, bronze, fire, and greenery creates a majestic view, especially at night.
Daria Shishko: Indeed, the lighting dramatically transforms the square after dark. Do you enjoy spending time there yourself? Perhaps you visit during special occasions?
Pavel Keruzel: Absolutely. I often go there when I need to reflect or feel connected to history. This place provides me with a sense of calm and pride. It’s especially moving to witness newlyweds laying flowers at the Eternal Flame.
Daria Shishko: That sounds truly inspiring! Kamran, I know you’re a big fan of Grodno and its nature. If you were a tour guide, which spot in your Grodno would you recommend visiting first?
Nabiyev Kamran: I would definitely recommend Zhiliber Park, with its towering trees and cozy paths. And, of course, the Neman River at sunset — its views are breathtaking. If you’re looking for a fairytale experience right in the city center, you must visit Swiss Valley. A stroll through there offers a chance to find inner harmony.
Daria Skvartsova: ‘Swiss Valley’ sounds enchanting! What makes it feel so magical to you? What captivated you?
Nabiyev Kamran: It’s a ravine with a stream and bridges, completely immersed in greenery. When you go down there from the noisy streets, you immediately enter another world—quiet, cool, and exceptionally peaceful.
Daria Skvartsova: Now I really have to go there! But beauty, of course, isn’t just in places; very often, it’s in people. Daria, you went home to Mogilev in the summer. Where did you find beauty there?
Gorskina Daria: For me, beauty lies within my family. It manifests in our relationships — in mutual help, care, and support. Whether it’s my sister assisting my mom or me helping my brother with his homework, that’s where true beauty shines. Love for your family is the most beautiful thing of all.
Daria Shishko: That’s very touching. Was there any particular moment this summer that embodied this family beauty for you?
Gorskina Daria: Yes, our picnic in the forest stands out. Grandma baked delicious pies, Grandpa shared old stories, and my siblings and I laughed and played badminton. It was a moment filled with pure happiness and unity. That’s true beauty.
Daria Skvortsova: Sounds great! Many people find inspiration in historical places, Ivan. What Belarusian site holds special meaning for you?
Ivan Valuev: The Dybovsky chapel in Borovoye. The brothers were exiled after the 1863 uprising but made scientific breakthroughs in Siberia. Benedict studied Baikal’s wildlife, while Vladislav researched geology and preserved Belarusian folklore. The early 20th-century clay-and-stone chapel itself has a unique design, and it’s said writer Korotkevich once rested there.
Daria Shishko: A perfect place! Well, for many, beauty is also in energy, in the unity of an entire city. Uliana, this weekend there’s a major event—City Day. What are you most looking forward to?
Kukhareva Uliana: The Nemiga Embankment promises to be the epicenter of the festivities! I’m really looking forward to the evening concert and hope to see my favorite artists perform. The main thing is that the weather doesn’t let us down, and then the celebration will be a success—that’s where the beauty of a united city will be!
Daria Skvartsova: Aside from the concert, are there other activities on the embankment that interest you? I heard there will be many interactive platforms.
Kukhareva Uliana: Absolutely! I’ve already reviewed the program and I’m excited to check out the handmade souvenir fair and the food courts featuring treats from various regions. I love the festive atmosphere where everyone is walking around, smiling, and relaxing. It’s very energizing!
Daria Skvortsova: Kalina, where do you find the most beauty in Belarus — in nature or in city events?
Kalina Parfenovich: Oh, they’re inseparable here! You’re walking through a park — and there’s an open-air concert. Thus, folk lovers gathered in Dudutki for “Svjata Sonca,” where fire dances and Slavic rock echoed under the stars or you go to your grandma’s village — and the views there take your breath away. Beauty is everywhere: both in big festivals and in a simple sunset over the river.
Daria Shishko: Definitely, we don’t have to choose between nature and culture. The greatest beauty of Belarus lies precisely in how they complement each other.
Daria Skvаrtsova: It’s wonderful how everyone finds beauty in different things — be it history, nature, family, or celebrations.
Life credo
Daria Shishko: We’ve been talking about different types of beauty all day. Aleksandra, what personal motto guides you in finding beauty in everyday life?
Fedoniuk Aleksandra: Through all my experiences, I’ve come to live by this simple idea: ‘Notice the beauty in people’s kindness and appreciate those shared moments of joy. ‘ This reminds me to look for beauty not just in places, but also in how people treat each other and the happiness we create together.
Daria Skvаrtsova: I like that — it’s practical. It turns beauty into something active that we can find in our daily interactions rather than just something we see.

The interviewees were chosen very well, as everyone has their own thoughts and plans, making the article especially interesting for those tired of information-heavy publications.
I hope I might become a host of this rubric.
The article is a real walk around Belarus. Daria Skvortsova and Daria Shishko show that beauty is not something far away, but the most ordinary that we have: urban environment, people and moments of happiness. This format is a real find for those who are tired of dry and data-overloaded articles. In my opinion, this article would be very useful for future journalists as a visual guide. It teaches you how to create modern texts using real-life examples, rather than just studying textbooks.
I was very inspired by this article! I am looking forward to new issues!

Thank you all!
I found the article to be very warm and sincere. It’s a pleasant portrayal of how students find beauty in simple things, especially in the autumnal nature and their interactions with friends. It was interesting to hear about their plans, and I particularly appreciated how they emphasized the importance of relaxation and inspiration for their studies, rather than just focusing on entertainment. The article creates a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Overall, it leaves a positive impression and reminds us of the significance of appreciating the beauty around us, even in small details. Every story about how different people perceive beauty — whether it’s in nature, architecture, or relationships with loved ones — filled me with warmth and inspiration. I especially enjoyed Angelina’s story about her evening walks in the forest and how the rain added a touch of romance to her tour of Polotsk. I myself enjoy walking in the rain, and her words reminded me of my own moments when nature unfolds its beauty.
Daria’s article left a lasting impression on me, and I wholeheartedly agree with Alexandra’s perspective. I have always held this view that true beauty lies not only in the visual aspects, but also in the way we interact with each auther. Thank you to Daria for bringing up this important topic and reminding us of the importance of seeing beauty in the people and moments we share. I really enjoyed reading Daria interview in English, and it inspired me to write articles in English in future.
I love this article. Walking with friends and drawing is my passion ,so l’m really drawn to Alesya Volchuk and Arina Nakhvat stories. I wish students of the Faculty of Journalism creative success in the future and I look forward to new articles
The interview with the students create a sense of intimacy and authenticity, allowing the reader to see how each student finds their own sources of energy and inspiration in autumn.
I particularly enjoyed how the students emphasize the significance of spending time with friends and taking simple walks in nature. This highlights the fact that beauty doesn’t always lie in grandeur; it can also be found in the little things, such as laughing with friends or exploring the park. It is also interesting that each student has their own unique ways of relaxing and rejuvenating, whether it is through reading, drawing, or simply enjoying the silence. Thanks for the article.
This is a great reminder of how important it is to appreciate the beauty of autumn, even as summer fades. I especially loved the idea of finding inspiration in nature before returning to the school routine. It’s easy to get caught up in work and studying, but taking time to connect with nature can really recharge your batteries.
I think this article is written very cool. The author allows you to plunge into memories related to nature and remember the cultural monuments of our country. I really liked the way the author built the opinion of the whole team. In conclusion, I want to say that this is a good material that I want to read on cold autumn days
In my opinion, this article is very inspiring because it reminds us to find beauty in simple things like nature, friends, and family. I think the authors created a very warm and sincere atmosphere. The interviews sound natural and show different points of view. One of the main advantages is the positive tone that motivates students to relax and enjoy life. The structure is clear, and it’s easy to read. However, I think the article could include more variety in students’ answers or some photos to make it more vivid. These are just small details and don’t affect the overall impression. In general, the article is beautiful and uplifting, because it teaches us to notice inspiration everywhere.
Good article! A very good topic — nature and autumn, I liked how the students described their weekend, using such beautiful words to say how beautiful nature is and such a time of year as autumn. Well done guys!
Despite the fact that the article’s topic is rather banal, making it difficult to engage the reader, it lifted my spirits during the autumn weekdays. It helps find inspiration and beauty in every day. For some, it’s a trip to their hometown, for others, a visit to an exhibition, but the main idea is that beauty can be found in any moment and place, and the only you need to do is to see it.
Excellent article! It fills you with optimism and reminds you that inspiration can be found in the simplest of things—in the autumn leaves, the smiles of friends, and quiet family evenings. The interview is very sincere and lively. After reading it, you immediately want to go for a walk and notice all this beauty around you. Perfect motivation for the start of the academic year.
At first glance, the above article may indeed seem simple and banal to many, but this is only one side. in my opinion, in our autumn season of October, it is worth paying attention to the good moments more often, looking for your happiness in the little things, which is what the article from the web journalism website teaches.
This article pleasantly surprised me with its lyrical mood and focus on the beauty that can be found in the most diverse phenomena – from nature to historical monuments. I really liked how the authors, through interviews with different people, showed that beauty is a very personal and multifaceted concept. I was particularly struck by Angelina Dontsova’s account of her forest walks. This resonates deeply with me: indeed, in those moments, despite the mosquitoes, you feel true peace and unity with nature. You realize that grand events are not always necessary for happiness. The image of St. Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk, described on a foggy day, was also impressive. This moment highlights how atmosphere, and even bad weather, can add a special, mystical beauty to places. Pavel Keruzel’s description of Victory Square is also very powerful. I appreciated how he conveyed not only the monument’s grandeur but also its deep symbolism, its connection to memory and respect. It reminded me that such places are not just objects but a living part of the city’s history and culture, where different emotions intertwine. Overall, the article excellently conveys the idea that beauty can be found everywhere, and that summer memories can be filled with both quiet moments in nature and powerful impressions from historical sites. An excellent piece that makes you think and look at familiar things from a different perspective.

I really enjoyed this article! I read the students’ thoughts and plans with great interest. They were all very sincere. I believe that sincerity and simplicity are the most important things.
This is a very bright and touching interview. It shows how beauty lives in simple everyday things and how people learn to notice it around them. I like how the interviewees talk about kindness, creativity, and joy in life. It would also be interesting to know how these ideas influence others. In the end, the story leaves a warm feeling and makes you want to look at the world with more attention and gratitude.
I am keen on this article! I love the idea that beauty is everywhere, even in small, everyday moments. It reminds me to slow down and notice the little things around me. The examples from the students made it feel very real and relatable. I especially liked how they connect simple moments with happiness and inspiration. I think this article is a great reminder to appreciate life as it is, without always looking for something extraordinary.
Thanks for sharing this informative piece. This is a very interesting topic, thank you for covering it! A beautiful reminder that inspiration isn’t something we have to search for far away. I love how each student finds their own kind of beauty—from Uliana’s cozy park and friends’ smiles to Arina’s artistic pursuit at the Minsk Sea. It perfectly captures the restorative power of nature, friendship, and a change of pace. Wishing you all a weekend filled with exactly the kind of beauty you’re seeking!
Speaking to my opinion the article is a beautiful hymn to the beauty of simple things. Makes you stop and see the amazing in everyday life. I liked it very much!
A very warm and timely article! Just what you need at the beginning of the school year, when summer freedom gives way to autumn routine. After reading, you truly feel calm and inspired, understanding that you don’t need to chase something grandiose to find beauty and strength for new achievements.
I especially appreciate how the authors, through a simple and sincere conversation with the students, showed the full diversity of the concept of «beauty.»
Thank you to the writing team for this heartfelt conversation and to all the students who shared their thoughts. After reading materials like this, you want to put down your phone, go to the park, and, as Alesya said, just rustle the leaves in good company. Excellent work.
I really enjoyed this article. I was especially impressed by the description of St. Sophia’s Cathedral. I also really liked Daria’s words about family, and it’s important to find beauty in relationships and support each other. Thank you for your work.
I believe this article is a wonderful illustration of how there’s no single, perfect solution to balancing study and rest. Some, like Dana, find strength in their family, while others, like Dasha, find it in immersing themselves in their studies. It’s precisely this diversity of approaches that reminds us of the most important thing: the importance of consciously managing your time, listening to yourself, and allowing yourself the kind of rest that truly restores you. The metaphor of balance as the rhythm of breathing, which concludes the article, seems perfectly apt to me.
The interview reveals the idea that beauty lies in simplicity — in light, movement, and a glance. The artist shares how art helps her feel alive and inspire others.
Such a warm and heartfelt article! It inspired me to drop everything and stroll through the park, soaking in the autumn vibes. I loved how the authors used students’ simple stories to highlight beauty in everyday moments-like friends’ smiles, quiet countryside, and colorful leaves.
It’s wonderful they shared both future plans and summer memories, reminding us to draw study motivation from those cherished times too.
Thanks for the sincere chat and positivity boost-great job!

It’s so wonderful that different people find beauty in such small things and that they find inspiration in the world around them. Articles like this really inspire me, thank you!!
I feel like this article is a virtual tour of different places in Belarus. It was so interesting to read the students’ thoughts about the upcoming inspiring weekend and wonderful memories. I’m impressed by the message that everyone has their own perspective on the world and their future, and that’s really cool. Thanks to Daria for her work!
I think this article is very useful because I can learn more about the beauty of nature and the city. The authors rightly note that beauty can be in everything and even in the little things.
